Thank you to all the volunteers who turned out yesterday and enabled us to put on an excellent urban orienteering event in Darlington's alleyways, streets and parks.  I think we were all happy that the weather had turned cooler – much better for running around in.

Special thanks to Stuart Fraser for the very interesting courses which set plenty of subtle traps, tempting us to go into those dead ends!  And thanks to Phill Batts for the very clear mapping and to Dennis Hooton and Richard Rigby for Controlling (during the preparation and on the day, respectively).

Everything went really smoothly.  I think the Market Hall is a great venue to have our Assembly and Download, and the experiment of using the large screen for a photo display during the event was very successful.

By the way, someone left their trousers behind.  (Did it get a bit breezy around their nether regions on the walk back to their car?)  If you know who might own the trousers, please get them to contact me.  If I haven't heard anything before then, I'll bring them along to the White Rose Weekend.
