Organiser's comments

Thank you to everyone who helped us to put on an excellent National event today, hosting this region's CompassSport Cup / Trophy Heat.  Just under 300 competitors, representing 9 clubs, enjoyed Charles' excellent courses on the Eston Hills.  I think this is the best event that we have hosted here!

For such a high-prestige event, we obviously organised the best possible weather, conjuring up southerly winds to bring in some warm air.  😀

Although the locals tipped over our three portaloos on Saturday, they appear not to have gone out into the competition area to vandalise, hide or make off with any of the controls.  Hooray!

Unfortunately, the Sparkle and Magic barrista was feeling unwell this morning, so we didn't have the option of coffee and cakes to revive us after our runs.

Congratulations to SYO and AIRE, who qualified for the CompassSport Cup Final, and to NN and CLARO, who qualified for the CompassSport Trophy Final.

Thanks again to you the 30 CLOK members whose fantastic help enabled us to put on a very successful event.
