That was a really challenging event for all of us!  Well done to everyone for coping with the steep slopes, slippery mud and aggressive vegetation!  And thanks for coming along.  I hope you enjoyed the event ....... at least in retrospect!

I think we can be glad that it didn't rain during the event, and the hospitality in the warm golf club was really excellent.

Unfortunately, the Planning / Controlling team had to contend with a control being smashed up overnight (which was dealt with before you all started) and one being pinched / removed between it being checked by the Controller at 9 a.m. this morning and the first competitors arriving to try to find it.  Fortunately, many of you found the Planner's tag and carried on, but I know that a few people spent a considerable time in a fruitless search.  The relevant legs have been removed from the results for the Brown and Blue courses (although I'm afraid this has done horrible things to the progressograms).

The other glitch was that control box 193 was accidentally used instead of 195.  (This affected the Green and Blue courses).  Fortunately an experienced early starter spotted the mistake and reported the issue by phone, so the Start team was able able to inform most competitors before they set off.

It was nice to be able to get packed up and away before it got dark!
