Friday 29th March 2019     CLOK Annual Dinner

Venue: Great Ayton Football and Cricket Club
Time:   6:30 for 7 p.m.

Every year we organise a Dinner to which all CLOK members (of any age) are invited.  This is an informal occasion – a good opportunity for a natter away from the forest and maybe put some names to faces.  If you haven't tried it before, do come along this year.

This year's dinner will have the same format as last year; i.e. an informal, relaxed atmosphere with external caterers providing main courses and puddings.  We hope that lots of you will come along.  We would particularly like to encourage families to attend, and so the club is subsidising children's meals (18 and under) by £6.

The Great Ayton Football and Cricket Club clubhouse provides good facilities and the bar will be open.  Chris Wright, who is a keen Taiko drummer, will give a short demonstration – with some friends – of this energetic and dynamic Japanese style of drumming.

This is also the time when the Joe Wright Trophy is awarded to someone who has made a significant contribution to Klub affairs in the last year, as voted for by the Committee.

Follow this link to view the menu (opens in a new tab).  The cost for a main course and a pudding is £11 per person for adults and £5 per person for people aged 18 or under.  Pay on the night.

Please use the on-line booking system to submit your name(s) and menu choices.  The booking system will close at midnight on Monday 25‑Mar‑2019.

Venue and directions

Great Ayton Football and Cricket Club is at Easby Lane, Great Ayton. The grid reference of the car park is NZ 562104, and the nearest postcode is TS9 6JX ...... but please note that this is a little distance from the Cricket Club.

Click on the link to see a map.  You can zoom in (and, optionally, switch to Satellite mode) to see the details of the final approach.  You can also get directions if you specify your starting location.

The approach from Great Ayton is via Easby Lane.  Continue to the last house on the left and immediately beyond that turn left on to a track (with speed bumps) and follow it round to the Football and Cricket Clubhouse.  There is hard standing car parking – with good views of the hills.  The clubhouse has been modernised and extended recently and provides all the usual facilities as well as a bar, which will be open.  We will be presenting the Joe Wright Trophy and the CLOK League trophies during the evening.
