WHICH VERSION OF OCAD? |

You are going to be creating a new map, producing an electronic version of
an existing paper map, or adding a significant extension to an existing map.
QUESTION 2: How large is the map that you will be working with?

Small. The map file will contain fewer than 1,000 mapping symbols. This applies to maps of parks such as Stewart Park, Cowpen Bewley, etc. Click here for more examples. | Select |

Large. The map file will contain more than 1,000 symbols. This applies to virtually all maps of "normal" orienteering areas. | Select |
You can check the number of mapping symbols in a map by:
(1) Opening the map file in OCAD.
(2) Clicking on Help --> Map info
