Cleveland Orienteering Klub invites you to a Long-O and Local Event at Sneaton & Fylingdales on Sunday 12th September 2010 |

| Location: | Parking will be on forest roads at grid reference NZ 886017. The event will be signposted from Redgates corner on the B1416 Ruswarp to Scarborough road at grid reference NZ 892046. | |||||||||
| Terrain: | The forest is predominantly coniferous with small areas of mixed woodland. There are significant felled areas and the courses have been planned to avoid these as far as practical. The two Ultra Long courses will use both the forest and the wild and hilly moorland. | |||||||||
| Courses: |
Ultra Long 20 km. Ultra Long 14 km. Both medium navigational difficulty. No under 16's on the Ultra Long courses. Under 18's need parental consent. Colour coded courses: Blue, Green, Light Green, Orange, Yellow and White. Free string course near Registration. | |||||||||

| Punching system: | SPORTident electronic punching will be used. SI cards will be available for hire on the day at a cost of 50p each. There will be a £30 charge for any lost SI-card. | |||||||||

To guarantee a map for the Ultra Long courses, please contact the
Organiser by email or phone (before 9 p.m.), giving your name, club,
age class and course (20 km or 14 km) by Friday 3rd September 2010. There will be entry on the day for the colour coded courses and, subject to map availability, the Ultra Long courses. | |||||||||

| Equipment: | Whistles will be compulsory on all courses. Ultra Long course competitors must carry drink, emergency food and a hooded, long-sleeved, weatherproof garment. | |||||||||

Toilet near Registration. Orange juice after the Finish. There will be a drinks station and manned controls on the Ultra Long courses. | |||||||||
| Dogs: | Well behaved and controlled dogs are welcome in the parking area, but dogs are not allowed on the courses. | |||||||||
