| Location: |
Parking will be at the entrance to Flatts Lane Country Park, at grid reference NZ552167. Please park in the car park outside the gate, as the main gate to the Flatts Lane car park will get locked at some point during the evening. Flatts Lane Country Park is best approached from the A171 between Nunthorpe and Guisborough. Turn left (if heading east) or right (if heading west) on to Flatts Lane, which is signposted Flatts Lane Country Park. | ||||||
| Terrain: | Well contoured mixed woodland with some open areas and a good path network. Some areas are very overgrown. Full leg cover is recommended. Also, gaiters are recommended for competitors on the longer courses, which may go into areas containing short brambles. | ||||||

| Map: | 1:7,500 scale. Pre-marked and either bagged or printed on waterproof paper. | ||||||
| Punching system: | This event will use manual timing and traditional orienteering kites and punches. Electronic punching will not be used. | ||||||

5:15 - 6:45 p.m. If you are going to bring a group of competitors to this event then please let the Organiser know in order to help us to print the right numbers of maps. | ||||||
| Starts: | 5:30 - 7 p.m. Courses close at 8:30 p.m. | ||||||
| Fees: | Seniors: £2.00 Juniors / Students / UB40: £1.00 | ||||||
| Facilities: | Please note that there will be no toilets at this event. | ||||||
| Dogs: | Dogs are welcome at this event, provided that they are kept on leads and under control at all times. | ||||||

Please make sure that you report to the Finish even if you do not complete your
course. CLOK strongly recommends that you carry a whistle whilst participating in this (and every) orienteering event. Please remember that competitors take part at their own risk. Your safety whilst orienteering is your own responsibility. |
