invites you to a Local Event at
Brierley and Tilery Woods
on Sunday 9th May 2010

This event is being organised by CLOK Juniors and their coaches.
Location:

Parking is in a field on the south side of the A689 at grid reference NZ 404285.  The A689 is a fast and busy dual carriageway.  If you are approaching from the west, please consider overshooting by half a mile to a roundabout where you can safely do a U-turn and approach from the east.

There will be a parking fee of £1.00 per vehicle, payable on arrival.

Terrain: Runnable, mostly flat, woodland with patches of thicker woodland, some paths, plus a large open grassy area.  A stream runs through the woods creating contour detail.  There are patches of thick vegetation – courses have been planned avoid these as much as possible.
Courses: All the normal colour coded courses from White to Brown, including a Red course suitable for runners with limited navigational experience.
Labyrinth Ultrasprint course.
Free string course.
Map: Map by Dave Allison in 2008.   Minor updates for this event.   1:10,000 scale.   Maps will be printed on waterproof paper at A4 size.
Punching system: SPORTident electronic punching will be used.  SI cards will be available for hire on the day at a cost of 50p each.  There will be a £30 charge for any lost SI-card.
Results: Splits printouts and results will be available at the event.  Full results, Splitsbrowser, RouteGadget and a discussion forum will all be available after the event at www.clok.org.uk.
Registration: 10:00 - 12:00 a.m.     Bring your SI-card to Registration for paperless entry.
Note:   If you are going to bring a group of competitors to this event then please contact the Organiser by email by Wednesday 5-May-2010 so that we can print the right number of extra maps.
Starts: 10:30 a.m. - 12 noon       Courses close at 2:00 p.m.
Controls will be collected progressively after the last start.
Fees: Seniors:   £7.00     (£2.00 discount for British Orienteering members)
Juniors / Students / Benefit Recipients:  £2.00
Please help us by bringing the correct change.
Facilities: Toilets.   First aid at the Finish.
Dogs: Well controlled dogs are welcome at this event.
