invites you to a Local Orienteering Event at
FYLINGDALES
on Sunday 6th September 2009

Location: Parking is in a field at Foulsike farm.  It will be sign-posted on the A171 Whitby to Scarborough road at grid reference NZ 918027, approx 0.5 mile south of the B1416 junction.
There will be a £1 car parking fee, collected at the field.
Terrain: Wild and hilly moorland.  The courses are planned to try to avoid the expanses of long heather previously encountered in the area.
Courses: All the normal colour coded courses from Yellow (short and easy) to Brown (long and difficult) excluding Red.
Sorry.  There will be no White course and no Red course at this event.
Map: 1:10,000 scale.   Maps will be printed on waterproof paper.
Punching system: SPORTident electronic punching will be used.  SI cards will be available for hire on the day at a cost of 50p each.  There will be a £25 charge for any lost SI-card.
Registration: 10.00 a.m. - 12.00 noon
Note:   If you are going to bring a group of competitors to this event then please contact the Organiser in advance so that we can print the right number of extra maps.
Starts: 10.30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.       Courses close at 2:30 p.m.
Fees: Seniors:   £7.00     (£2.00 discount on production of a British Orienteering membership card)
Juniors / Students / UB40:  £2.00
Facilities: Limited toilets.   No drinks will be provided at this event – please bring your own.
Dogs: Fylingdales is sheep country, so no dogs are allowed at this event, even in the parking area.
