Fylingdales Moor is not grazed by sheep any more.  In addition, the absence of grouse management means that the heather is only mowed/burnt for conservation purposes and does not enable easy running.

I tried to keep you out of large expanses of thigh-deep heather or energy-sapping marsh but probably not entirely successfully.

Many thanks to all the cheerful and sociable people I talked to today – it makes it all worthwhile to me.  Also grateful thanks to Clarissa for her positive controlling.

Sorry about the 'funnies' on the map such as the dark colours, especially the yellow, and the quality of some of the symbol screens.  I had a few irritating problems with my own computer and the NYCC laser printer which I have vowed never to use again.
