A Local Event at Newton Hanzard, near Wynyard.

Easy access.       New area for orienteering.       Range of courses.

    I hope you all enjoyed running in the new CLOK area.  The sun finally broke through as we were collecting controls and taking down tents!  This event was planned and manned by CLOK Juniors with any profit going towards the North East Junior Squad. The juniors, shadowed by an adult, planned all the courses, put out controls, put up tents, manned the computers, registration and finally brought in the controls and cleared the site.
    A big thank you goes to Gary Wilkinson and Mike Armstrong who own Close Wood, the northern finger on the map, Woodlands Trust and Wynyard estate who own Newton Hanzard to the south, for their permission to hold this event.  
    Finally once again a huge thank you to all our bakers and supporters, you came up trumps again, we raised £98.20 for the NEJS.
