Cleveland Orienteering Klub invites you to a Local Orienteering Event at SNEATON & PARSLEY on Sunday 17th May 2009 |

| Location: |
Parking will be on forest roads at grid reference NZ 875020. The event will be signposted from Redgates corner on the B1416 Ruswarp to Scarborough Road at grid reference NZ 892046. | |||||||||
| Terrain: | A mixture of coniferous plantation and deciduous woodland. Most courses will visit Foss Plantation, an area being used for the first time and consisting of runnable deciduous woodland with open areas broken by thickets and scattered mature trees. | |||||||||
| Courses: |
All the normal colour coded courses from White to Brown. Free string course. | |||||||||
| Map: | 1:10,000 scale. A4 size. Overprinted on waterproof paper. Not bagged. | |||||||||
| Punching system: | SPORTident electronic punching will be used. SI cards will be available for hire on the day at a cost of 50p each. There will be a £25 charge for any lost SI-card. | |||||||||

10.00 a.m. - 12.00 noon Note: If you are going to bring a group of competitors to this event then please contact the Organiser in advance so that we can print the right number of extra maps. | |||||||||
| Starts: | 10.30 a.m. - 12.30 p.m. Courses close at 2:30 p.m. | |||||||||

Seniors: £7.00 (£2.00 discount on production of a
British Orienteering membership card) Juniors / Students / UB40: £2.00 | |||||||||
| Facilities: | Toilet in the car parking area. Orange juice at the Finsh. | |||||||||
| Dogs: | No dogs in the competition area. Dogs are welcome in the car parking area provided that they are kept under control. | |||||||||

Please remember that competitors take part at their own risk. Your
safety whilst orienteering is your own responsibility. CLOK strongly recommends that you carry a whistle whilst participating in this (and every) orienteering event. Please remember that you must download even if you do not complete your course. |
