  Weather just held up!  40 Competitors faced the trials of finding "Permanent Control Markers" mounted high in trees to avoid vandalism.  My apologies to those who struggled to find control number 12 on the medium course and number 22 on the long course.  This was labelled "Track near hide" and the plaque was numbered 4/Y.  I can only apologise to those who struggled with this.  It really did exist as the photos show.  When I visited it on the Sunday before, it was located next to a hide.  On Saturday morning I didn't check it since it was one of the Permanent Controls.  Had I visited it, I would have seen the burnt remains of the former hide!  It seems vandalism scored again!!
