Cleveland Orienteering Klub invites you to a District Orienteering Event at ERRINGTON WOODS on Sunday 11th May 2008 |

| Location: | Parking will be at the Errington Woods car park at grid reference NZ 618202. (There is a panoramic sea view from the car park.) The event will be signposted from the junction between the A174 and the B1269. | |||||||||
| Terrain: | North-facing inclined woodland with many tracks and paths. | |||||||||
| Courses: |
All the normal colour coded courses from White to Brown. Free string course. | |||||||||
| Map: | 1:10,000 scale. Maps will be printed on waterproof paper at A4 size. Please note that the maps will not be bagged if you would like to use a plastic bag then please bring your own. | |||||||||
| Punching system: |
This event will use a combination of SI electronic punching and pin-punching.
SI will be used to measure total times (from the Start to the Finish) and
pin-punching will be used to record visits to individual controls. SI cards will be available for hire on the day at a cost of 50p each. There will be a £25 charge for any lost SI-card. | |||||||||

10.00 a.m. - 12.00 noon Note: If you are going to bring a group of competitors to this event then please contact the Organiser in advance so that we can make the appropriate parking arrangements and print the right number of extra maps. | |||||||||
| Starts: | 10.30 a.m. - 12.30 p.m. Courses close at 2:30 p.m. | |||||||||

Seniors: £7.00 (£2.00 discount on production of a
British Orienteering membership card) Juniors / Students / UB40: £2.00 | |||||||||
| Facilities: | Toilets in the car parking area. Orange juice at the finsh. | |||||||||
| Dogs: | No dogs in the competition area. Dogs are welcome in the parking area provided that they are kept under control. | |||||||||

Please remember that competitors take part at their own risk. Your
safety whilst orienteering is your own responsibility. CLOK strongly recommends that you carry a whistle whilst participating in this (and every) orienteering event. Please remember that you must download even if you have not completed your course. |
