Cleveland Orienteering Klub invites you to a District Orienteering Event at HUTTON MULGRAVE AND SKELDER WOODS on Sunday 16th March 2008 |

| Location: | Signposted from the A171 Whitby to Guisborough moors road at grid reference NZ 815083, 8 km west of Whitby. Parking in a field at grid reference NZ 829096. Please have the parking fee ready (£1). | |||||||||
| Terrain: | Coniferous forest owned by Lord Normanby, as used for M21E/A courses at JK96. The western part of the forest is formal plantation of larch, spruce and pine with good tracks and rides. The eastern part is mainly a delightful old pine plantation with few paths and plenty of contour detail. Much of the forest is runnable, with even the clear-felled and windblown bits having been "tidied up". | |||||||||

| Map: | 1:10,000 scale, updated for this event by Paul Taylor. Pre-marked and bagged. | |||||||||
| Punching system: | This event will use SI electronic punching. SI cards will be available for hire on the day at a cost of 50p each. There will be a £25 charge for any lost SI-card. | |||||||||

10.00 a.m. - 12.00 noon Note: If you are going to bring a group of competitors to this event then please contact the Organiser in advance so that we know how many extra maps to print. | |||||||||
