invites you to a Regional Event incorporating the Northern Orienteering Championships at
ARNCLIFFE WOODS & SCARTH WOOD MOOR
on Sunday 17th February 2008

Location: The event will be signposted from the A19 / A172 junction at grid reference NZ 444992.  Park considerately, as directed by marshals, at the roadside in Ingleby Cross at grid reference NZ 450006.
Please contact the Organiser if you are bringing a coach to this event.
Terrain: Fairly steep mixed woodland with many paths and tracks, plus an area of open moorland at the top of the slope.
Courses: All the usual badge courses; i.e. JM/JW 1-4, JM5 S/M/L, JW5 S/L, M/W 21-70 S/L, M75S/L and W75.
Colour coded: White, Yellow, Orange, Red and Light Green.
Free string course.
Map: 1:10,000 scale.    Revised in 2007, when the area was used for the BUSA championships.    Pre-marked and bagged.
Punching system: This event will use SI electronic punching.  SI cards will be available for hire on the day at a cost of 50p each.  There will be a £25 charge for any lost SI-card.
Entries: Pre-entries are required for the badge courses.  On-line entry is preferred, via www.fabian4.co.uk.
The entry deadline for on-line entries is Sunday 10th February 2008.  The on-line entry system will continue to accept entries until Thursday 14th February 2008, but entries after 10-Feb-2008 will incur the late entry fee.

The closing date for paper entries is postmarked 8th February 2008.  Depending on the availability of maps, it may be possible to accept late entries, but entries postmarked 9th February 2008 or later will incur the late entry fee.

There may be limited entry on the day for badge courses, but this will depend on the availability of spare maps, and you may not be able to get a run on your preferred course.

Entry to the colour coded courses is on the day.
Note:   If you are going to bring a group of competitors to run colour coded courses then please contact the Organiser in advance so that we know how many extra maps to print.
Registration: 10.00 a.m. - 12:00 noon
Starts: 10.30 a.m. - 12.30 p.m.
Fees: Senior Badge Courses:   £10.00     (BO National members and NEOA BO Local members deduct £2.00)
Junior Badge Courses:   £2.50
Late entry and entry on the day:   +£1 for Seniors     No late entry fee for Juniors

Colour Coded Courses:  Seniors £7.00     Juniors £2.50
Facilities: Toilets in the village hall.   Orange juice at the finish.
Dogs: Dogs on leads in the parking area only.
