| This is the third and final event of the 2007 Summer Series of evening orienteering events. | ||||||||||||||||
| Location: |
Parking will be at the Christmas Tree car park above Hutton Village near
Guisborough. The grid reference is
NZ 604135. From the A171, turn south – signposted Great Ayton – on to the A173 at the roundabout north-west of Guisborough. Take the first left on to Stokesley Road, go up and over a slight hill, and then turn right on to The Avenue at grid reference NZ 595154. There will be O-signs from this point. Where the road takes a 90 degree bend to the left (and becomes Hutton Lane), turn right towards Hutton Village. Follow the road round through Hutton Village and into the woods. At the top of a hill, turn left to the car park. Please drive considerately through Hutton Village. | |||||||||||||||
| Terrain: | Coniferous plantation on a steep hillside with some areas of contour detail. There is significant undergrowth in some areas so leg protection is recommended. | |||||||||||||||

| Map: | 1:10,000 scale. Pre-marked and bagged. | |||||||||||||||
| Punching system: | SPORTident electronic punching will be used. SI cards will be available for hire on the day at a cost of 50p each. | |||||||||||||||

| Starts: | 6:15 - 7:00 p.m. Courses close at 8:30 p.m. | |||||||||||||||
| Fees: | Seniors: £3.00 Juniors / Students / UB40: £1.50 | |||||||||||||||
| Facilities: | Orange juice at the finish. No toilets. | |||||||||||||||
| Dogs: | Well-behaved dogs are welcome in the car parking area. | |||||||||||||||

safety whilst orienteering is your own responsibility. You must carry a whistle whilst participating in this event. Whistles will be available on loan from Registration.
