HUTTON LOWCROSS EVENING EVENTOrganiser's Comments |
|
I hope that you enjoyed the final event of the 2007 CLOK Summer Series.
On this occasion the weather was kinder to us than it had been for the first two evening events. The rain held off, and it was cool enough to make pleasant running conditions ....... although slightly too cool to be sitting at a computer waiting for returning runners!
Thanks to Forest Enterprise for permission to use the area and to Paul Thornton for planning an interesting set of courses.
And thanks to everyone who turned out to this year's Summer Series events.
Over the next few weeks and months I and, in due course, the CLOK Committee will be having a think about what to do about evening events in future years. I'd welcome your views. In particular, should the Summer Series continue in its present form (i.e. "proper" orienteering events with colour coded courses in "proper" orienteering areas, electronic punching and the full works) or should we revert to simpler "training style" events? Please use the event bulletin board to make your input, or send me an email.
