BRITISH MIDDLE DISTANCE CHAMPIONSHIPS IN MULGRAVE WOODS CORRECTION TO MEDAL WINNERS

Note from the Organiser of the British Elite Middle Distance Championships.

It appears that, due to an unfortunate error in the application of Event Guideline H of the BOF Rules, the M20E and W20E medals and prizes were incorrectly awarded.

I have been advised that the awards should have been made as follows:

M20E – 1st Hector Haines (AIRE), 2nd Joe Mercer (AIRE), 3rd Ben Stevens (AIRE)

W20E – 1st Rebecca Roberts (SROC), 2nd Anne Edwards (TVOC), 3rd Jessica Halliday (OD)

Many juniors did originally enter a different class to that which they eventually ran in (though all were to run over the same course as the 21E runners) but were subsequently re-allocated into their FCC age classes.

It is hoped that the medals be re-presented at the British Championships in May.

My sincere apologies for this error.
