Organiser's Comments
A great turnout of 36 riders - thanks to all.
I hope you enjoyed the ride – the weather stayed reasonable for the day, apart from the wind!! This element appeared to affect many people, with an awful lot of penalties for lateness handed out!
Many thanks to Chris Poole for planning this event, giving me the opportunity to have a ride. Although using the same base as last year's event – planned by Dave Spence – Chris managed to give a very different perspective on the area, and a fine test into the bargain! Thanks also to East Harlsey Village Hall Committee for the hire of the facilities, and to Marion Archer (CLOK and Village Hall Committee) for arranging the booking and dispensing the refreshments! Thanks also to my daughter Ellie for help on registration and in the kitchen!
The last event this winter from CLOK on the Lanequest front will be based at the Wynyard Country Park off the Stockton/Sedgefield road near Thorpe Thewles on Saturday 23 February 2008, planner Keith Foster.
