Organiser's Comments
A great turnout of 36 riders - thanks to all.
I hope you enjoyed the ride – the weather stayed reasonable for the day, apart from the wind!! This 'element' appeared to affect many people, with an awful lot of penalties for lateness handed out! Given the day, it isn't surprising nobody ventured to Staithes, Roxby or Borrowby, which is a shame, as it's very pleasant over there. Perhaps next year I'll find a base 10 miles further East!
Many thanks to the Tees Valley Wildlife Trust for allowing us to use their offices in this old school / Heritage Centre, and particularly to Tony Wilkinson for opening up for us and being so helpful. Many thanks also to Joe Dobbs for arranging access to the facility.
Thanks also to Will Dehany for map printing. The rest was down to me.
The next event this winter from CLOK on the Lanequest front will be based at East Harlsey near Northallerton on Saturday 26 January 2008, followed by an event in the Stockton/Sedgefield area on Saturday 23 February 2008. Full details will be posted at www.clok.org.uk. Steve Willis has events at Grewelthorpe near Ripon on Saturday 8th December 2007 and Saturday 12 January 2008 at Gilling East, Hovingham.
